Mechanical is the evergreen branch among all other branches and it is specifically concerned with the design, development, installation, operation & Maintenance of just about anything that has movable parts and Mechanical Systems. It focuses in Machine Design but also covers a lot of field of sciences namely, thermodynamics, power plant design, industrial plant design, etc.

Laboratory

The Department has been equipped with Lathe, Slotting Machine, Shaping Machine, Drilling, Grinding & Hobbing Machines in perfect condition. Metrologies, Strength of Material, Fluid Mechanics, and Thermal are some of the laboratories under the Department of Mechanical.

Scope

There is a wide scope for mechanical engineering worldwide. Mechanical engineers are the second highest employed engineers among all others with only 7% unemployed whereas any normal engineering stream would have around 15% unemployed engineers worldwide. There will be always demand of Mechanical engineers. Recession never comes in this field.
