The Promoting Body
Introduction to Its Genesis Including Its Registration Status
Thirumathi Elizabeth Educational Society was registered under Tamil Nadu Government Societies Registration Act 20 of 1975 as Number 41 of 1985 in District Registrar Office, Ariyalur on 28.06.1985.
This society was started in the village, Annamangalam to meet the increasing demand of qualified manpower in the field of emerging areas of Engineering and Technology and also to develop the welfare of the rural people around the village.
Activities of the Promoting Body including a listing of major educational
The Promoting Body had started "Tmt. Elizabeth Polytechnic College"in the year 1986, in Annamangalam, Perambalur District, and now it is offering Diploma in Engineering courses in Civil, Mechanical, Electronics and Communication, Electrical and Electronics, Computer and Mechanical (Tool and Die).
"Elizabeth Industrial Training Institute" was started in the year 1992 to offer Fitter, Electrical, Computer Operator Cum Program Assistant (COPA) and Steno Courses.
In the year 2007, "Elizabeth College of Education" was started to offer Bachelor of Education in Tamil, English, Mathematics, Geography, Computer, Biological Science, Physical Science and History.
In this academic year 2012-2013, the application has been submitted to AICTE to start a new engineering college in the name of " Elizabeth College of Engineering and Technology" for the coming academic year 2013-2014.
Objectives of the Promoting Body

♦ To provide Engineers, Diploma Engineers , teachers and technicians with required knowledge, skill and attitude to perform well in the industry.

♦ To arrange career guidance and placement program through placement cell of the institution.

♦ To encourage students in sports, extra curricular activities, N.S.S etc.,

♦ To arrange Industrial visits and In-plant training.

♦ To develop Industry-Institute interaction for the benefit of students.

♦ To develop soft skills, time management, leadership qualities and discipline among the students.
